Before flying a SDHGPC site you should check the following in addition to your normal checks:
For your BHPA insurance to be valid flying any of the SDHGPC Sites, you need to be a:
a. SDHGPC Member or
b. member of one of our neighbouring clubs: Kernow Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association, North Devon Hang Gliding & Paragliding Club, or Devon & Somerset Condors
Check the Site Guide for weather and updates
Check the SDHGPC chat Telegram for any updates or site issues
Check NOTAMs for your flight plan (or CAA UK AIP)
Mid week flying? Submit a CANP/NOTAM to notify the military and other air users
Do not fly a site on your own! Tell someone your plans and let them know when you’ve landed.
If you’re going XC check your airspace map/instruments are up to date
